This hadith emphasizes the importance of reciting the Quran with a pleasant voice. It was narrated by Abu Lubabah and Ubaydullah ibn Yazid that they were in a house where there was a man in shabby condition who said he heard Prophet Muhammad say that one is not considered to be part of his followers if they do not recite the Qur'an. When asked what should be done if someone does not have a pleasant voice, Ibn Abu Mulaykah replied that one should recite as much as possible with their best effort to make it sound pleasant.
