Reciting the Qur'an with Beautiful Voices

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ encouraged people to recite the Qur'an with beautiful voices.

Narrated Al-Bara' ibn Azib: The Prophet said: Beautify the Qur'an with your voices.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ زَيِّنُوا الْقُرْآنَ بِأَصْوَاتِكُمْ

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith encourages us to recite the holy book of Allah, the Quran, in a beautiful voice. This is because when we recite it in a melodious way, it will be more pleasing to Allah and will also help us focus on its teachings better. It is important for us to remember that reciting the Quran should not be done just for show but rather as an act of worship and devotion towards Allah. We should strive to make our recitations as perfect as possible so that we can benefit from its teachings and gain rewards from Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also taught us that when we are reciting the Quran, we should do so with humility and respect for its words. We should take care not to rush through it or speak too quickly but instead take our time and pay attention to each word so that we can understand what is being said properly. Additionally, by taking our time while reciting it allows us to appreciate its beauty even more which will ultimately lead us closer towards Allah's pleasure.
