Fast for three days every month ,Observe witr prayer before sleeping ,Perform supererogatory prayer in forenoon while traveling or resident

This hadith is about the three practices that the Prophet instructed his friend, Abu Al-Darda', to observe. These practices are fasting for three days every month, observing witr prayer before sleeping and performing supererogatory prayer in the forenoon. Fasting is a form of worship where one abstains from food and drink from dawn until sunset. By following these instructions given by the Prophet, Abu Al-Darda' was able to strengthen his relationship with Allah through acts of devotion and piety.
