Cleanliness After Answering the Call of Nature

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) would use water to clean himself after answering the call of nature.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Whenever the Prophet went to answer the call of nature, I used to bring water with which he used to clean his private parts.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ إِذَا تَبَرَّزَ لِحَاجَتِهِ أَتَيْتُهُ بِمَاءٍ فَيَغْسِلُ بِهِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik tells us about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. It is reported that whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) went to answer the call of nature, he would use water with which he used to clean his private parts. This teaches us that it is important for us to maintain good hygiene and be mindful of our cleanliness even when we are in private. We should also take care not to forget this important aspect of our lives, as it is a part of being a Muslim and following in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
