Seeking Laylat al-Qadr in Ramadan

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised his followers to seek Laylat al-Qadr on the seventeenth, twenty first and twenty third night of Ramadan.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: The Messenger of Allah said to us: Seek it (laylat al-Qadr) on the seventeenth night of Ramadan, and on the twenty first night, and on the twenty-third night. He then kept silence.
حَدَّثَنَا حَكِيمُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الرَّقِّيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو - عَنْ زَيْدٍ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ - عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ اطْلُبُوهَا لَيْلَةَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَلَيْلَةَ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ وَلَيْلَةَ ثَلاَثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ سَكَتَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about seeking Laylat al-Qadr during the month of Ramadan. It was narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud who was one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised his followers to seek Laylat al-Qadr on the seventeenth, twenty first and twenty third night of Ramadan. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to find this special night as it is a blessed night where our prayers are accepted by Allah SWT. We should also remember that this special night can be found in any odd nights during the last ten days of Ramadan so we should make sure to spend these nights in prayer and worshiping Allah SWT.
