Sunan Abi Dawud 1374 (Book 6, Hadith 4) #21666
Praying During Ramadan

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) was aware of the people's prayer in the mosque during Ramadan and commanded Aishah to spread a mat for him to pray upon. He also reminded them to praise Allah and that he did not pass his night carelessly.

Narrated 'Aishah: The people used to pray (tarawih prayer) in the mosque during Ramadan severally. The Messenger of Allah commanded me (to spread a mat). I spread a mat for him and he prayed upon it. The narrator then transmitted the same story. The Prophet said: O People, praise be to Allah, I did not pass my night carelessly, nor did your position remain hidden from me.
