EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of reciting two specific verses from the Quran during his supererogatory rak'ahs of dawn prayer. The two verses are "Say, O unbelievers" [Surah al-Kafiroon 1] and "Say He is Allah, one" [Surah al-Ikhlas 1]. These verses emphasize on monotheism and remind us to reject polytheism and idol worship.
