Sunan Abi Dawud 1205 (Book 4, Hadith 8) #21497
The Importance of Praying Mid-Day

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that it is important to pray even if it is in the middle of the day.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: When the Messenger of Allah halted at a certain place (while on a journey), he would not leave that place till he offered the noon prayer. A man said to him: Even if in the middle of the day? He replied: Even if in the middle of the day.
