Praying During Solar Eclipse

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) prayed a series of pairs of rak'ahs during an eclipse of the sun until it became clear.

Narrated An-Nu'man ibn Bashir: There was an eclipse of the sun in the time of the Prophet . He began to pray a series of pairs of rak'ahs enquiring about the sun (at the end of them) till it became clear.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ كُسِفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَجَعَلَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَيَسْأَلُ عَنْهَا حَتَّى انْجَلَتْ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates an incident that occurred in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). During a solar eclipse, he began to pray a series of pairs of rak’ahs, which is two cycles or units in prayer. He continued to do this until the sun became clear again. This hadith teaches us that when something extraordinary happens, such as an eclipse, we should turn to Allah and seek His help and guidance through prayer. It also shows us how important it is for Muslims to stay connected with Allah even during times when things seem out of our control. We can learn from this hadith that no matter what happens in life, we should always remember Allah and turn to Him for help and guidance.
