On the day of breaking the fast ('Id), Prophet Muhammad stood up and offered prayer before giving a sermon. After finishing his sermon, he went to the women and gave them an exhortation while leaning on Bilal's hand. During this time, Bilal was spreading out his garment for them to put their alms in it; some women put their rings or other items as charity. This hadith teaches us that it is important to give charity during special occasions such as 'Id day, and that we should be generous with our donations even if it is something small like a ring or other item.
