The Prophet's Sermons

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave two sermons to the people, during which he recited the Quran and gave them an exhortation.

Jabir b. Samurah said: The Messenger of Allah gave two sermons between which he sat, recited the Quran and gave the people an exhortation.
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، - الْمَعْنَى - عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ خُطْبَتَانِ كَانَ يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُمَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَيُذَكِّرُ النَّاسَ

This hadith tells us about the importance of listening to sermons given by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
