EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about accepting assistance from others. It is narrated by Ibn 'Umar that when the Prophet became fat, Tamim al-Dari offered to make a pulpit for him so that it could bear the burden of his body. The Prophet accepted this offer and Tamim made a pulpit with two steps for him. This hadith teaches us that we should not be ashamed or embarrassed to accept help from others when we need it. We should also be generous in offering help to those who need it, as Tamim did for the Prophet. Furthermore, this hadith shows us how much respect people have for the prophet and how they were willing to do anything they could in order to make his life easier and more comfortable.
