Reciting Specific Chapters of the Quran During Morning Prayer on Fridays

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad used to recite two specific chapters of the Quran during his morning prayer on Fridays.

Ibn 'Abbas said: the Messenger of Allah used to recite in the morning prayer on Friday Surah Tanzil al-Sajdah (xxxii) and Surah al-Dahr(lxxi).
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُخَوَّلِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ تَنْزِيلَ السَّجْدَةِ وَ ‏{‏ هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الإِنْسَانِ حِينٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ

EXPLANATIONS:
Every Friday morning, Prophet Muhammad would recite two specific chapters from the Quran during his prayer. These two chapters were Surat Al Sajdah and Surat Al Dahr. This is an example of how important it is for Muslims to read and understand the teachings of the Quran in order to live a life that is pleasing to Allah. It also shows us that we should take time out of our day to dedicate ourselves to Allah through prayer and recitation of His words.
