Equality in Salutations

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that men and women should stay for the same amount of time after giving salutations.

Umm Salamah said; When the Messenger of Allah gave the salutation, he stayed for a while. By this people thought that women should return earlier than men.
