EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet's practice of shortening prayers. It is reported that the Prophet offered two rakahs for his noon prayer and then was asked if he had shortened it. In response, he offered two more rakahs and made two prostrations at the end of it. This teaches us that we should not be hasty in our prayers but take our time to ensure that we are fulfilling all its requirements properly. We should also be mindful of how much time we spend on each prayer so as not to rush through them or take too long either. Additionally, this hadith shows us the importance of being patient when performing religious duties and taking care to do them correctly even if they may seem tedious or difficult at times.
