Sunan Abi Dawud 944 (Book 2, Hadith 555) #21236
Prayer Etiquette for Men and Women

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that men should say Tasbih during prayer and women should clap, and anyone who makes a sign during prayer must repeat it.

Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Prophet said: Saying Tasbih applies to men during prayer and clapping applies to women. Anyone who makes a sign during his prayer, a sign which is intelligible by implication, should repeat it (ie his prayer). (AbuDawud commented on the Hadith saying, this is a result of confusion)
