Glorifying Allah and Clapping for Women

SUMMARY: Women should not clap their hands when glorifying Allah, while men can.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah as saying; Glorifying Allah applies to men and clapping applies only to women.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the proper way to glorify Allah. It teaches us that men should glorify Allah by saying “Allahu Akbar” or “Subhanallah”, while women should not clap their hands when doing so. Instead, they can say the same words as men do in order to show their respect and appreciation for God. This hadith also teaches us that we must be mindful of our actions and words when praising God in order to ensure that we are following the teachings of Islam correctly.
