The Power of Prayer and Ablution

SUMMARY: Performing ablution and prayer properly can lead to forgiveness of all past sins.

Zaid b. Khalid al-Juhani reported the Messenger of Allah as saying: Anyone who performs ablution and performs his ablution well, and then he offers two rak’ahs of prayers in a way that he does not forget ( anything in it), will be forgiven all his past sins.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ - عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُوءَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لاَ يَسْهُو فِيهِمَا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the power of prayer and ablution in seeking forgiveness from Allah for our past sins. It is reported by Zaid b. Khalid al-Juhani that the Messenger of Allah said that anyone who performs their ablution properly, followed by two rakahs of prayer without forgetting anything in it, will be forgiven all their past sins. This hadith emphasizes the importance of performing ablutions and prayers with full concentration as it can lead to repentance from our wrongdoings and ultimately forgiveness from Allah for our mistakes. It also teaches us to never give up hope on seeking mercy from Allah no matter how many times we have sinned before as He is always willing to forgive us if we sincerely repent for our actions.
