The Prophet's Prayer and Weeping

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was seen praying with a sound coming from his chest like the rumbling of a mill due to weeping.

Narrated Abdullah ibn ash-Shikhkhir: I saw the Messenger of Allah praying and a sound came from his breast like the rumbling of a mill owing to weeping.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلاَّمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ هَارُونَ - أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ - عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يُصَلِّي وَفِي صَدْرِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الرَّحَى مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ

This hadith speaks of the devotion and sincerity of the Prophet Muhammad's prayer. It is said that when he prayed, a sound came from his chest like the rumbling of a mill due to weeping.
