Taking Help with Elbows During Prostration

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ advised his companions to take help with their elbows while prostrating in prayer.

Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Companions of the Prophet complained to the Prophet about the hardship when they kept their forearms far away from their sides while prostrating. He said: Take help with the elbows (by spreading them on the ground and sticking them to the sides).

QUICK LESSONS:
Take help with your elbows when prostrating during prayer
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's advice to his companions regarding how to perform the prayer of salat. He told them that they should take help with their elbows when prostrating by spreading them on the ground and sticking them to the sides. This advice was given because it can be difficult for some people to keep their forearms far away from their sides while prostrating. By taking help with their elbows, it makes it easier for people who have difficulty in keeping their arms away from their sides during prostration. The main values taught in this hadith are patience and perseverance as well as humility and respect towards Allah. It also teaches us that we should not give up easily when faced with difficulties but rather strive hard and seek assistance if needed in order to fulfill our religious obligations properly.
