Sunan Abi Dawud 886 (Book 2, Hadith 496) #21177
The Importance of Praising God During Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that when bowing and prostrating, one should say "Glory be to my mighty Lord" and "Glory be to my most high Lord" three times each.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: The Prophet said: When one of you bows, he should say three time,:"Glory be to my mighty Lord," and when he prostrates, he should say: "Glory be to my most high Lord" three times. This is the minimum number. Abu Dawud said: The chain of this tradition is broken. The narrator 'Awn did not see 'Abd Allah (b. Mas'ud).

QUICK LESSONS:
Say "Glory Be To My Mighty/Most High Lord" 3x When Bowing/Prostrating
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of praising God during prayer. It is narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad. He taught that when we bow and prostrate during prayer, we should say “Glory be to my mighty Lord” and “Glory be to my most high Lord” three times each. This is the minimum number of praises we should give in order for our prayers to be accepted by Allah. We must remember this important lesson so that our prayers are heard by Allah and accepted with love.
