Sunan Abi Dawud 848 (Book 2, Hadith 458) #21139
Praising Allah Synchronizing with Angels

SUMMARY: When the Imam says "Allah listens to him who praised Him," one should say "O Allah, our lord, to Thee be the praise" as it synchronizes with what the angels say and will be forgiven for past sins.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah as saying: When the Imam says: "Allah listens to him who praised Him," say: "O Allah, our lord, to Thee be the praise, " for if what anyone says synchronizes with what the angels say, he will be forgiven his past sins.
