Prostration During Noon Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) prostrated himself in the noon prayer and recited a surah.

Ibn 'Umr said: The prophet prostrated himself in the noon prayer; then he stood up and bowed, and we knew that he recited Tanzil al-sajdah(surah xxxii). Ibn 'Isa said: No one narrated this tradition to Umayyah except Mu’tamir.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، وَهُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ سَجَدَ فِي صَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ فَرَأَيْنَا أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ تَنْزِيلَ السَّجْدَةِ ‏.‏ قَالَ ابْنُ عِيسَى لَمْ يَذْكُرْ أُمَيَّةَ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ مُعْتَمِرٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of prostrating during his noon prayer. He would stand up after prostration and recite a surah called Tanzil al-sajdah. This hadith teaches us that we should follow the example of the Prophet Muhammad in our prayers by prostrating ourselves during our noon prayer. We should also strive to recite Quran during our prayers as it was something that was done by the Prophet Muhammad himself. It is important to remember that we should always strive to pray with sincerity and humility so that we can reap its rewards both in this life and in the hereafter.
