EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Malik speaks about the importance of making supplications during prayer. It is permissible to make supplications in both obligatory and voluntary prayers, whether it be at the beginning, middle or end of the prayer. Making du'a during salah is a way for us to express our needs and desires to Allah SWT as well as thank Him for His blessings. We can ask Allah SWT for anything we need or want, whether it be worldly matters such as health or wealth, or spiritual matters such as guidance and forgiveness. By making du'a during salah we are showing our reliance on Allah SWT and that He alone can provide us with what we need.
