QUICK LESSONS:
Make supplications to Allah during supererogatory prayers .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the Prophet Muhammad's practice of making supplications during his supererogatory prayers. A supererogatory prayer is an extra prayer that one can do beyond what is required by Islamic law. The Prophet Muhammad would make these extra prayers and during them he would make supplications to Allah. Supplications are special requests or wishes that one makes to Allah for oneself or for others. By doing this, the Prophet Muhammad was teaching us that we should always be asking Allah for help and guidance in our lives and also praying for others who may need it as well.
