EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how to properly position one's hands during prayer. It was narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud and AbuUthman an-Nahdi that when Ibn Mas'ud prayed he placed his left hand on the right. The Prophet (ﷺ) saw him and corrected him by placing his right hand on the left. This teaches us that we should be mindful of our posture during prayer as it is a form of worship to Allah SWT. We should ensure that our hands are in line with what has been taught to us through this hadith so that we can perform our prayers correctly according to Islamic teachings. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us about humility; even though Ibn Mas’ud was a great companion of the Prophet Muhammad SAW he still accepted correction from him without hesitation or argument which shows us how important it is for Muslims to remain humble in all aspects of life.
