Raising Hands During Takbir

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) raised his hands when he said the takbir (Allah is most great) at the end of two rak'ahs.

Ibn 'Umar said: When the Messenger of Allah stood at the end of two rak’ahs, he uttered the takbir (Allah is most great) and raised his hands.

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and perform our prayers with humility and devotion. Raise your hand when you say "Allah is Most Great" during prayer.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about a practice that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to do during salah or prayer. He would raise his hands when he uttered the takbir which means "Allah is most great". This shows us that we should also raise our hands when we say this phrase during prayer. It also teaches us to show respect and reverence for Allah by performing our prayers in a manner prescribed by Him and His messenger ﷺ. We should strive to follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and perform our prayers with humility and devotion.
