Selling Fruits by Estimation

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) allowed the owner of 'Araya to sell the fruits on the trees by means of estimation.

Narrated Zaid bin Thabit: Allah's Messenger al lowed the owner of 'Araya to sell the fruits on the trees by means of estimation.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ـ رضى الله عنهم ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرْخَصَ لِصَاحِبِ الْعَرِيَّةِ أَنْ يَبِيعَهَا بِخَرْصِهَا‏.‏
