Praying Behind the Prophet (PBUH) in Illness

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) was seriously ill and people prayed behind him while Abu Bakr called out the Takbir for everyone to hear.

Jabir said : when the prophet became seriously ill, we prayed behind him while he was sitting and Abu Bakr was calling "Allah is most great " to cause the people to hear the TAKBIR. Then he (the narrators) narrated the rest of the tradition.

QUICK LESSONS:
Do your religious duties despite difficulty or illness; Be mindful of others; Have faith in Allah SWT
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of a time when the beloved prophet Muhammad ﷺ was seriously ill. Despite his illness, he still allowed people to pray behind him while he sat. Abu Bakr then called out the takbir so that everyone could hear it and continue their prayer. This hadith teaches us that even in times of difficulty or illness we should still strive to do our religious duties and not give up on them. It also shows us how important it is to be mindful of others and help them in any way we can - like Abu Bakr did by calling out the takbir for everyone else's benefit. We should also remember that no matter what situation we are in, Allah is always with us and will never leave our side.
