This hadith teaches us the etiquette of spitting while praying. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ instructed that when a person stands with the intention of saying prayer, they should not spit in front of them nor to their right side. Instead, they should do so at their left side if there is a place for it or under their left foot and then rub it off. This hadith emphasizes the importance of maintaining cleanliness during prayer and also shows us how important it is to be mindful about our actions even when we are alone.
