Sunan Abi Dawud 469 (Book 2, Hadith 79) #20760
Invoking Blessings from the Angels

SUMMARY: The angels invoke blessings on any person who remains sitting at the place where they say their prayers, asking Allah to forgive and have mercy on them.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying; The angels invoke blessings on any of you who remains sitting at the place where he says his prayers so long as he is defiled (needs ablution) or stands up, saying: O Allah, forgives him; O Allah, have mercy on him.

QUICK LESSONS:
Remain seated at your place of prayer .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the immense blessings that come from remaining in one's place of prayer. It is said that when a person stays in their place of prayer, even if they are not able to perform ablution or stand up due to some reason, the angels will still invoke blessings upon them and ask Allah for forgiveness and mercy. This shows us how important it is for us to remain in our places of prayer and seek out these blessings from Allah through His angels. We should also remember that we can always ask for forgiveness from Allah no matter what state we are in or what mistakes we have made.
