Actions of Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The hadith is about two companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and their actions.

'Ata b. Yasar said: Two persons from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ; he then narrated the rest of the tradition to the same effect.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، مَوْلَى إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ بِمَعْنَاهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about two companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is narrated by 'Ata b. Yasar that these two companions did something which was in accordance with the teachings and traditions set by the Prophet himself. This hadith serves as an example for us to follow in our lives; it teaches us to be obedient to Allah and His Messenger and strive to do good deeds according to His teachings. We should also take heed from this hadith that we should not be afraid or ashamed to do what is right even if it means going against popular opinion or trends.
