Forbidden Dresses and Sales

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade two kinds of dresses and two kinds of sale.

Narrated Abu Sa'id: The Prophet forbade two kinds of dresses and two kinds of sale, ie, Mulamasa and Munabadha.
حَدَّثَنَا عَيَّاشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ عَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ وَعَنْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ الْمُلاَمَسَةِ وَالْمُنَابَذَةِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to be mindful of our actions and words. He forbade certain types of dress and sales as they were not in line with the teachings of Islam. Mulamasa is a type of sale where the seller does not show the buyer what he is selling until after they have agreed on a price. Munabadha is a type of dress that was worn by people who did not follow Islamic teachings. Both Mulamasa and Munabadha are forbidden in Islam as they do not promote good values or behavior.

The Prophet ﷺ wanted us to be mindful about our actions so that we can live according to Islamic teachings and values. He taught us that certain types of dress or sales should be avoided as they do not promote good behavior or values within society. We should strive to live according to Islamic principles so that we can lead lives full of peace, love, kindness, justice, mercy, humility and respect for others around us.
