SUMMARY: A woman who has just given birth should refrain from prayer for forty days or nights and use an aromatic herb called wars to remove dark spots on her face.

Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin: The woman having bleeding after delivery (puerperal haemorrhage) would refrain (from prayer) for forty days or forty nights; and we would anoint our faces with an aromatic herb called wars to remove dark spots.

EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin, a woman who has just given birth should refrain from prayer for forty days or nights. This is because she is considered to be in a state of postpartum bleeding which requires her to take special care of herself during this period. Additionally, the hadith also mentions that women would use an aromatic herb called wars to remove dark spots on their faces. This shows that Islam places great importance on taking care of one's physical health and appearance after childbirth. It also emphasizes the importance of using natural remedies such as herbs instead of relying solely on modern medicine.
