QUICK LESSONS:
Seek guidance from those who are knowledgeable in religious matters before making any decisions or judgements related to faith or religion

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Umm Habibah who had a prolonged flow of blood and her husband used to cohabit with her despite this condition. Abu Dawud said that Yahya b. Ma'in pronounced Mu'alla as trustworthy but Ahmad b. Hanbal would not report from him because he exercised personal opinion which was not accepted by the latter narrator. This hadith teaches us that we should be careful in our judgement and should not rely on our own opinions when it comes to matters related to religion or faith as it can lead us astray from the right path. We must always seek guidance from those who are knowledgeable in religious matters before making any decisions or judgements related to faith or religion so that we do not go astray from the right path set for us by Allah SWT .
