Selling Before Receiving is Forbidden

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the selling of foodstuff before receiving it and suggested that all types of selling should be done similarly.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet forbade the selling of foodstuff before receiving it. I consider that all types of selling should be done similarly.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be honest & trustworthy while making a sale .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that we should not sell something before we have received it. This means that when someone wants to buy something, they should not pay for it until they have actually received the item. This applies to all types of items, not just food items. It is important to remember this teaching so that people do not get cheated out of their money by buying something without ever receiving it in return. We must also be honest and trustworthy when making a sale, so that others can trust us when buying from us in the future.

The Prophet ﷺ also taught us about honesty and trustworthiness in our dealings with others. He wanted us to be fair and honest with each other, so that everyone can benefit from our transactions without being taken advantage of or cheated out of their money or goods. By following these teachings, we can ensure fairness and justice for everyone involved in any transaction or sale.
