QUICK LESSONS:
Perform masah when doing wudu or ablution
EXPLANATIONS:
According to a hadith narrated by Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over the socks. This is an act of worship known as masah which is done when performing wudu or ablution. It involves wiping one's feet with wet hands instead of washing them. This practice was allowed by Allah so that it would be easier for Muslims to perform their religious obligations without having to take off their socks every time they needed to do wudu. The hadith also mentions that this wiping should be done on the back part of the sock and not on its front side. This teaches us that we should always strive for excellence in our acts of worship and pay attention to even small details like where we wipe our feet during wudu.
