The Importance of Snuffing Water During Ablution

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to snuff up water in our nose and eject mucus when performing ablution.

Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allah said: When any of you performs ablution, he should snuff up water in his nose and eject mucus.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلْ فِي أَنْفِهِ مَاءً ثُمَّ لْيَنْثُرْ
