Sahih al-Bukhari 2113 (Book 34, Hadith 66) #2029
Finalizing Deals

SUMMARY: Deals should be finalized only when the buyer and seller have separated, unless the deal is optional.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: The Prophet said, "No deal is settled and finalized unless the buyer and the seller separate, except if the deal is optional (whereby the validity of the bargain depends on the stipulations agreed upon).

QUICK LESSONS:
Understand all details before signing off on an agreement , Keep your word once an agreement has been made .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that when a buyer and seller are making a deal, it should not be considered final until they have separated. This means that both parties must agree to all of the terms of the contract before it can be considered valid. However, if the deal is optional, then it may still be valid even if they do not separate. This hadith teaches us to make sure we understand all of the details of any agreement we enter into before signing off on it. It also reminds us to always keep our word once an agreement has been made.
