Permissibility of Thickened Grape Juice

SUMMARY: It is permissible to consume thickened grape juice that has been cooked and reduced to one-third.

It was narrated that Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab said: "When At-Tila (thickened grape juice) has been cooked and reduced to one-third, then there is nothing wrong with it".
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ مَعْنٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، قَالَ إِذَا طُبِخَ الطِّلاَءُ عَلَى الثُّلُثِ فَلاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ

This hadith states that it is permissible to consume thickened grape juice, known as At-Tila, which has been cooked and reduced to one-third. The narrator of this hadith, Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab, was a prominent scholar from the generation after the companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
