Forbidden Activities in Islam

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) forbade certain activities.

It was narrated from Ibn Buraidah, from his father, that: The Messenger of Allah SAW forbade Ad-Dubba', Al-Hantam, An-Naqir, and Al-Muzaffat.

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Allah's commands , Avoid prohibited activities .
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, taught us many things about how to live our lives according to the teachings of Islam. One of these teachings is that there are certain activities which are forbidden or prohibited in Islam. These activities include Ad-Dubba', Al-Hantam, An-Naqir and Al-Muzaffat. Ad-Dubba' is a type of container used for storing water or other liquids; Al-Hantam is a type of game involving dice; An-Naqir is a type of musical instrument made from clay; and Al-Muzaffat is a type of wind instrument made from wood or metal pipes. All four activities have been forbidden by the Prophet Muhammad as they can lead people away from worshipping Allah and following His commands. Therefore, it is important for Muslims to remember this teaching and avoid engaging in any activity which has been prohibited by the Prophet Muhammad so that we may remain on the path towards righteousness and piety as prescribed by Allah Almighty.
