Soaking Fruits without Intoxicants

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) used to forbid certain vessels, but now he has allowed soaking fruits in whatever vessel one wishes, as long as it does not contain any intoxicants.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW said: 'I used to forbid certain kinds of vessels to you. Now soak (fruits) in whatever you wish, but beware of any intoxicant'."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الأَوْعِيَةِ فَانْتَبِذُوا فِيمَا بَدَا لَكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَكُلَّ مُسْكِرٍ
