EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the value of moderation and cutting off extra bits. It was narrated by Qatadah, who said that Anas used to tell people to cut off the extra bits. This means that one should not go overboard with anything, but rather stay within reasonable limits and be moderate in all things. This includes spending money, eating food, or doing any other activity - it is important to stay within reasonable limits and not do too much or too little of something. Doing so will help us lead a balanced life and achieve our goals in a more efficient manner.
