The Source of Money

SUMMARY: People will not care about the source of their money, whether it is earned through lawful or unlawful means.

Narrated Abu Hurairah (ra): The Prophet said "Certainly a time will come when people will not bother to know from where they earned the money, by lawful means or unlawful means".
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ لاَ يُبَالِي الْمَرْءُ بِمَا أَخَذَ الْمَالَ، أَمِنْ حَلاَلٍ أَمْ مِنْ حَرَامٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith warns us against a time when people will not be concerned with the source of their money. Whether it is earned through lawful or unlawful means, they will not bother to know from where they got it. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to earn our money in a lawful and ethical manner, and never resort to any kind of illegal activities for financial gain. We should also be aware that Allah knows all our deeds and He will reward us accordingly for our actions in this life as well as the hereafter.
