Sunan an-Nasai 5298 (Book 48, Hadith 259) #19830
Sharing is Caring

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) gave Ali a Hullah of Sira and asked him to divide it among his womenfolk instead of wearing it himself.

'Ali said: "A Hullah of Sira was given to the Messenger of Allah SAW and he sent it to me. I put it on, then I saw anger in his face. He said: 'I did not give it to you to wear it'. Then he told me to divide it among my womenfolk".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous with your possessions; Share your belongings; Put other people's needs first before your own wants or needs; Think about how your actions will affect others before doing something that might make them angry or upset; Strive to do what is right for others even if you have to give up something you want for yourself .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of sharing and caring for others. It was narrated by 'Ali, who said that the Prophet Muhammad gave him a Hullah of Sira as a gift. However, when he put it on, the Prophet saw anger in his face and told him to divide it among his womenfolk instead. This teaches us that we should always be generous with our possessions and share them with those around us who may need them more than we do. We should also remember to think about how our actions will affect others before doing something that might make them angry or upset.

The Prophet's example shows us how important it is to be generous with what we have, even if it means giving up something we want for ourselves in order to help someone else out. It also reminds us that sometimes our own desires can get in the way of doing what is right for others, so we must always strive to put their needs first before our own wants or needs.
