Be careful not to imitate people who are not from your faith, be mindful of how you present yourself in public so as not to give off any wrong impressions or messages about yourself or your faith .

This hadith is about avoiding giving a false impression. It was narrated by Sa’eed bin Al-Musayyab that Mu’awiyah came to Madinah and addressed them while holding a hairpiece. He said that he never used to see anyone do this except the Jews. The Prophet Muhammad heard of it and called it “giving a false impression”, warning against it. This hadith teaches us that we should be careful not to imitate or copy people who are not from our faith, as this could lead us astray and give off the wrong message about our beliefs and values. We should also be mindful of how we present ourselves in public so as not to give off any wrong impressions or messages about ourselves or our faith.
