Taking Care of One's Appearance

SUMMARY: The Prophet saw a man with wild hair and asked why he did not use something to calm it down.

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "The Prophet SAW came to us and saw a man with wild hair. He said: 'Could this man not find anything with which to calm down his hair?'"
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عِيسَى، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَتَانَا النَّبِيُّ فَرَأَى رَجُلاً ثَائِرَ الرَّأْسِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ أَمَا يَجِدُ هَذَا مَا يُسَكِّنُ بِهِ شَعْرَهُ
