Perform wudu before praying or doing any other religious activities

This hadith explains the ablution process that Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) performed. It is narrated by 'Abdullah bin Zaid and it is a ritual for Muslims to perform this ablution before they pray or do any other religious activities. The process includes washing the face three times, washing both arms up to the elbows twice and then passing wet hands lightly over the head from front to rear and bringing them back to front again. Lastly, one must wash their feet up to their ankles. This ritual is important as it symbolizes cleanliness and purity which are essential values in Islam. It also teaches us discipline as we must take time out of our day for this ritual in order for us to be able to pray properly with a pure heart and mind.
