SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) forbade wearing gold unless it is broken into smaller pieces.

Abu Shaikh said: "I heard Ibn 'Umar say: 'The Messenger of Allah SAW forbade wearing gold unless it is broken (into smaller pieces)'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad SAW regarding wearing gold

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abu Shaikh states that the Prophet Muhammad forbade wearing gold in its entirety, unless it is broken into smaller pieces. This prohibition was likely due to the fact that gold was a sign of wealth and status, and could lead to feelings of pride or arrogance in those who wore it. Additionally, this hadith serves as a reminder for Muslims to be humble and not be overly concerned with material possessions. It also teaches us that we should not be wasteful with our resources, but instead use them responsibly and break them down into smaller pieces if necessary. Furthermore, this hadith encourages us to focus on spiritual matters rather than worldly ones.
