This hadith is about how important it is for children to learn and recite the Quran from an early age. It tells us that even when Zaid was still a young boy with two braids playing with other kids, Abdullah bin Mas’ud had already recited seventy-odd Surahs of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW). This shows us how important it is for children to start learning and memorizing the verses of the Holy Book from an early age. It also teaches us that we should encourage our children to learn about their religion so they can grow up as pious Muslims who are knowledgeable about their faith.
