Reciting the Quran in Childhood

SUMMARY: Abdullah bin Mas'ud was asked to recite the Quran according to a certain recitation, and he mentioned that he had recited seventy-odd Surahs of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) when Zaid was still a young boy.

'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said: "According to whose recitation do you want me to recite? Because I recited seventy-odd Surahs to the Messenger of Allah SAW when Zaid had two braids, and was playing with the other boys".
